RI NA CRUINNE: THE MUSIC BY CLANNAD

There are specific songs that I listen to when I am creating artwork or writing about the Holocaust.

Back in the mid '90's when cd clubs were still popular, I was sent an album by Clannad by mistake.

I never returned it, because it became one of my most favorite in my entire collection.  The album

ANAM was released in 1992, and then re-released again in 2005. The song RI NA CRUINNE

gained worldwide popluarity with the movie industry & was featured in the Lord of the Rings

trilogy. This is the song that currently plays on the website.

The Irish, Gaelic translation into English says:

King of the World

folks are destroying the human race

(because) we don't care enough

King of the World

nature is being destroyed

from year to year

we're not aware enough

Let's rouse our courage

all over the world

let's rouse our courage

through the wide world...
